The intro:  Not only have I popped out three littles in the past 9 years, I’ve started and run my business since 2009 and I’m launching a new one soon.

Life is a tad chaotic at times and it takes quite a bit of headspace to manage school, clubs, church stuff, the house chores and a social life for five!

Excercise ( the love of my life pre children) has until recently taken a back burner so laid back it’s been sitting on the sofa for most of 9 years with the odd cameo 10k and body combat if I can keep my eyes open.

The problem is; and I’m sure you can all relate to this, is sleep, or lack of it. I got myself (I think by choosing to have kids) into a sleep deprived habit and before I knew it I was waking up every night at 2am staring at my phone waiting for the nightly visit by one of  my little munchkins. Most of the time it though they sleep through.

I’m a huge fan of Women’s health magazine and in every other article I read; Sleep deprivation is  right up there with toxic nicotine sticks in the top 5 of ageing, un healthy life style sins.

When you are sleep deprived, any chance of early morning fitness, sugar free diets and caffeine free wellness goes completely to rat shit! Try coping with a busy work schedule and three boisterous boys on ginger and lime flower tea all day, snacking on rice cakes and a tea time PIYO session. Quite honestly I’m usually ready for bed before the kids!

Excuses aside, I’ve decided to try and give it my all (to the best of my dual business, mum to three ability) before I properly descend into middle age. I’m 43 and I know that with the right outfit and makeup I can still look pretty hot, but I’m playing at it, procrastinating and still planning that one day I will again be a toned size 10.

Am I on my own in this quest? Am I being an obsessed selfish Mother who is not focusing on their children? I doubt it. Happy Mummy makes happy children and my boys are already very much into healthy eating, Excercise and they love it!

The youngest starts school in September and so I now feel it’s time for me to stop procrastinating, step it up a notch or 10 as I’m determined to get my post baby body in shape.
